M90 Resurfacing diversion 15/16th Dec

Further to the consultation previously sent in August 2021 regarding the carriageway resurfacing works on the M90 Trunk Road. There is an additional night added to our programme to complete traffic counter installation.

The works have been provisionally programmed for Wednesday 15thDecember 2021 for 1 night between the hours 20:00 – 06:00. To ensure the safety of the workforce and members of the travelling public it is necessary to close this section of the M90 during the works.

During periods of closure, a signed diversion route will be in place. Traffic on the M9 wishing to use the M90 Northbound at Junction 1A will be directed to exit at Junction 1 (Newbridge) and take the A8 (Glasgow Road), A902 (Maybury Road) & A90 (Queensferry Road) to M90 Junction 1. This is projected to add an estimated 9 minutes to affected journeys. A location plan showing this diversion route is attached. Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times and all traffic management will be removed out with working hours.

The safety of maintenance workers remains a top priority during these essential projects and strict physical distancing protocols, in line with Scottish Government guidance, will be in place to ensure all on-site personnel remain safe throughout the duration of the project.

If you require any further information or would like to comment on any of the proposed works please do not hesitate to contact Christy Roulston by email at SEConsultationroads@bearscotland.co.uk.
