Builyeon Rd Primary School and Active Travel

CEC’s Consultation and Engagement Hub ate hosting information and a feedback survey on proposals for the new Builyeon Road Primary School and active travel proposals across the south of the town.

There is a growing population in Queensferry and we need to expand the number of school places to meet demand. Doing nothing is not an option, and investment is required.

The new primary school at Builyeon Road will be a community resource for both children and adults. We are interested to know how different areas of the school and site could be used by all members of the public.

These proposals will complement our Queensferry Living Well Locally project to help make Queensferry greener, healthier and safer for everyone. The changes will provide new primary school places and more travel options for daily trips to school and work as well as making access to local amenities easier and safer.

You can access the survey on the Consultation and Engagement Hub or via www.edinburgh.gov.uk/queensferryconnections

A new web page will shortly be live at https://www.edinburgh.gov.uk/investinginqueensferry with further information about the various council lead investment projects across the town.

The attached leaflet will be distributed through approx. 2500 properties today, will be distributed via the schools distribution system and we will be sending out information to various stakeholders. Later in the engagement period we will have some posters and lamppost wraps around the area also to encourage people to view and comment on proposals.

We will be holding a drop in event on Wednesday 3rd September at Echline Primary School, Bo’Ness Road, EH30 9XJ between 1600 and 1930.
