We’re upgrading our gas network in South Scotstoun
We’ll be replacing our old metal gas mains and services with new plastic pipes. This work is essential to make sure that you and your neighbours continue to receive a safe and reliable gas supply.
SGN’s Contractor Pipeline Energy Solutions will be carrying out this project.
The project will begin between the 30/03/2026 and 31/03/2026. It should be finished in around
4 weeks.
What does this mean for you?
If we need to turn off the gas supply to your property, we’ll give you seven working days’ notice.
If possible, our team will speak to you to discuss this. Depending on where your gas pipe and meter are located, we might need to come into your home so someone will need to be there on the agreed date.

Extra help
Our engineers will visit gas customers on the Priority Service Register to offer extra support during our work. This includes a free electric heater and hot plate when their gas is off.
You may have elderly or vulnerable neighbours who need support but are not on our list.
