Insulation of our houses while retaining their historic values

There is a massive disconnect between what people believe is achievable in practice and the insulation levels required in order to work towards NetZero. This is particularly challenging for those of us living in houses built before 1919 especially if those houses are listed or within conservation zones.

One aspect of bridging that gap is to ensure that householders have the relevant information available to them and this is the area we need to focus on as we have links with our own communities and understand their reticence in taking on these improvements.

There are a lot of initiatives in Scotland that are aiming to improve the insulation of our buildings. However, without the support of home owners, our progress towards NetZero will be stalled.
