Despite discussions and agreement to the contrary in 2019, two cruise ship visits have been booked in to Queensferry during the Ferry Fair week, on the Monday and the Wednesday.

Obviously the Hawes car park is out of bounds for coaches, so a call off system will be employed with coaches parked on Bankhead Rd and drawn down on a just in time basis for pick ups and drop offs.

This will result in some local parking restrictions and a temporary closure of Bankhead Rd from the Station Rd junction to the cottages to the south.

Bus diversions will be announced by Lothian Buses in due course.

A call off system which negates the need to close off Hawes car park is something which QDCC has been calling for over recent years. This gives an opportunity to trial such a system for next year onwards.
