Queensferry Active Travel – Consultation

As part of the City of Edinburgh Council Local Development Plan delivery, Atkins are working with the Council to explore opportunities for improving walking, wheeling and cycling conditions throughout South Queensferry. The aim is to create more travel options for daily trips to school and work as well as other trips in the local community.

We are keen to hear from the local community and stakeholders about potential ideas for improvements to the streets and landscaping between the Builyeon Road area through Scotstoun Avenue towards Queensferry High School and Dalmeny Station. In addition the study will consider opportunities to improve the existing routes through Echline and Viewforth towards Queensferry’s historic town centre

An online consultation to gather views is being held on the Council’s consultation hub over the next few weeks to gather feedback on the emerging proposals. This will be complemented by an in person event to be held at the South Queensferry Community Centre on the 30th June 2022 between 3pm and 7pm.

Please feel free to get in touch with any queries at queensferryactivetravel@atkinsglobal.com The online consultation can be reached using the following link.
