BEAR Scotland, acting on behalf of Transport Scotland, are planning to carry out essential investigation works on the M9 Trunk Road at the bridge crossing the B800 and River Almond, immediately north of Junction 1. These essential works will look to identify causes of carriageway deterioration and inform future bridge maintenance works.
This project is programmed to be undertaken in two phases, with Phase 1 completed on the 13th of October and Phase 2 planned for the nights of Monday 6th November to Friday 10th November, between the hours of 20:30 and 06:00 each night. Please find enclosed the location plan for the works.
In order to undertake these works safely, certain lanes will have to be closed in both directions. Vehicles will still be able to use the M9 in both directions but some disruption may be expected as a result of these lane closures. We have planned these works to take place overnight when traffic flows are lower,
in order to minimise disruption. We would like to take this opportunity to thank stakeholders for their patience whilst these essential works are undertaken.
Should you have any specific concerns or require further information please do not hesitate to contact me by email at seconsultation-bridges@bearscotland.co.uk.
Yours faithfully
for BEAR Scotland Ltd.
