Pleased to announce that the new community council for the next term has been published. We now have 11 community councillors and 4 local interest groups represented. Welcome to our new members and look forward to working together. Cllr Work will be in touch to formally introduce.
The first meeting will be held on a date after 27th March tbc when the new CC comes in to effect. Appointment of office bearers, conveners and sub-committee members will be the first order of business.
We look forward to an exciting next term which will deliver a long negotiated £4m investment in the refurbishment of the High St and a £400k investment in new public toilets at the promenade.
Managing whatever outcome is decided by CEC councillors on the High school solution will be a key focus, along with the Place Plan, CEC’s Community Asset Review, Active Travel Plan, Tourism, local economy, traffic calming, community campus proposal, education & early years provision, youth work programme, key infrastructure, community support network, Builyeon Rd, QDCC/CALA community chest, Ferry Elves, the list continues…
