Community Council Elections – is it for you?

If you have a passion for the area you live in, have your ear to the ground, are able to make wholistic representation on behalf of the majority of the town & district, can make a convincing case for change and are willing to get involved in negotiating that change, then yes!

QDCC has built a well respected reputation across the city over many years, we are not a protest group, we do not make false promises nor set unrealistic expectations.

We understand the challenges and obstacles, we know the people across the area are often split in their opinions. It is very rare to satisfy all.

Taking a wholistic approach we work with local authorities, stakeholders, developers, utility companies, etc, to negotiate best possible outcomes for the town and its people.

We do this by building positive, constructive relationships with those we need to. We are not here to block or delay progress, quite the contrary.

There are many important challenges ahead, some listed in the graphic below.

If you think you could be an active, positive influencer, willing to help negotiate at all levels, then please apply for one of the 12 seats on the community council.

Nominations close 27th Feb. If we have more than 12 nominees, an election will be held in March.
