M9 J1a to J1B Northbound – M9 WINCHBURGH LOOP – Bridge Joint Replacements Works

Transport Scotlands operating company BEAR Scotland is set to carry out works on the Structure M9 1-2 30 Winchburgh Loop Rail which carries the M9 Northbound over the railway.

The works will begin on the 16th of June and run for 10 Nights (Mon – Fri only).

To facilitate the Bridge Joint Replacement works the following traffic management will be required for the duration of the works:

  • Full closure of M9 Northbound from J1a to J1b

During the works a signed diversion route will be in place for traffic as follows:

Traffic traveling North on M9 (Newbridge):

M9NàM9 J1A take the M90 exit to Dundee/PerthàM90 J1AàA904 (Hopetoun)à B8046 à M9 J2N

This diversion will add approximately 5 minute and 4.2 miles onto the journey.

Traffic traveling South on M90 (Queensferry Crossing):

M90SàM90 J1A (Queensferry Jct)à M90 J1AàA904 (Hopetoun)à B8046 à M9 J2N

This diversion will add approximately 1 minute onto the journey.

All work is weather dependent and subject to postponement or cancellation in the event of adverse conditions.
