VARIOUS ROADS – EDINBURGH PROPOSED WAITING RESTRICTIONS AND/OR LOADING PROHIBITIONS

Short stretches of yellow lines are proposed on Station Road at the new Queensferry High school. These will prohibit stopping to drop-off for about 5 metres on each side of the car park entrance and the Ashburnham Gardens junction. If anyone wants to object they have until 12 August and can see details on the link below..

I refer to our previous correspondence regarding the above.

In accordance with the terms of the Local Authorities’ Traffic Orders (Procedure) (Scotland) Regulations 1999, I write to inform you that the City of Edinburgh Council proposes to advertise the Traffic Regulation Orders which will introduce:

1. 24 hour waiting restrictions/loading prohibitions on Duddingston Rd and Ashburnham Gdns/Station Rd;

2. 24 hour waiting restrictions/loading prohibitions and daytime waiting restrictions/loading prohibitions (Mon-Fri 8am to 4pm) on parts of Gamekeeper’s Rd;

3. 24 hour waiting restrictions and daytime (Mon-Fri 8am to 4pm) loading prohibitions on Ivanhoe Cres; and

4. 24 hour waiting restrictions/loading prohibitions and 24 hour waiting restrictions on Sth Gillsland Rd/Merchiston Gdns.

As a result of coronavirus and the need for physical distancing we are unable to display the documents relating to this proposal at Council Offices, nor are we able to display street notices on site at the affected locations. Therefore, the proposals relating to this Order can be viewed online at the Council website www.edinburgh.gov.uk/trafficorders from 22 July 2022 to 12 August 2022. You can also register for email or text alerts via the Tell Me Scotland portal at www.tellmescotland.gov.uk which also provides details of this proposal.

Should you wish to submit an objection to the proposal, please do so by 12 August 2022 quoting notice reference number TRO/19/33 to TRO.consultations@edinburgh.gov.uk or by post to Traffic Orders, Place, 3.3 Waverley Court, 4 East Market Street, Edinburgh EH8 8BG.

All objections should state the name and address of the objector, the matters to which they relate and the grounds on which they are made. If you are responding to this consultation and your comments or objection relate to any particular location/s or element/s of the proposals, it would be helpful if you could identify those in your response.
